Service Solutions Analyst

As a Service Solutions Analyst, you will be responsible for working within the Service Division alongside Service Contract Sales, to produce complex multi-year commercial proposals, providing analysis and insight to support these offerings. The role will be required to develop close working relationships with key stakeholders to provide challenge, influence outcomes and develop actions to ensure our offerings meet our customer requirements whilst protecting our current business.
Responsibilities:
1. Produce complex multi-year commercial proposals including pricing, discounting and margin analysis.
2. Work in collaboration with the sales team in preparation for customer meetings.
3. Manipulate large data sets using Excel, Qlikview and Power BI.
4. Be actively involved in end-to-end designing & implementing data analytics & customer insight solutions for the service business.
5. Understand the financial performance of MSBU, identify new opportunities to grow and improve the business and propose action plans to achieve this.
6. Enhance processes to improve data availability and reliability.
7. Assess & challenge the commercial and operational approach of the Service business to maximize customer satisfaction and financial performance.
8. Demonstrate high analytical ability along with the skills to transfer the analytical findings into easily understood insights and recommendations.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Educated to degree level in a numerate subject i.e. Mathematics, Statistics, Accountancy.
2. Minimum 3 years’ experience working in an analytical role, ideally with commercial exposure.
3. Excellent knowledge of Excel.
4. Data skills to enable complex models to be built and trends to be analyzed.
5. Statistical and predictive modeling would be an advantage.
6. Power BI knowledge would be an advantage.
7. Demonstrate excellent commercial acumen and decision making.
8. Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
9. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with and present to senior stakeholders.
10. Ability to present complex information in a simple and effective way.
11. Must be able to demonstrate strategic thinking and problem solving.
12. Accurate with a keen eye for detail.
13. Highly motivated, proactive and enthusiastic with the ability to work with minimum supervision.
14. Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
15. Willing to travel on an ad hoc basis.
