We are looking for a Welding Inspector to join a chemical plant project in Hull. The roles is outside IR35 and will require 5 days a week on site.
We are looking to hire an experienced welding inspector to oversee the quality and safety of our company’s welding activities. As a welding inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting and assessing the strength and quality of welds, ensuring the correct equipment is being used, checking weld specifications, and ensuring all safety regulations are being adhered to.
To ensure success as a welding inspector, you should have advanced knowledge of modern welding procedures.
Welding Inspector Responsibilities:
1. Issuing welding tickets to company workers.
2. Checking welding specifications for a job.
3. Ensuring the correct equipment and materials are being used for a weld.
4. Inspecting completed welds.
5. Assessing the quality and strength of completed welds.
6. Suggesting alternative welding techniques.
7. Demonstrating correct welding procedures.
8. Generating new welding techniques.
9. Maintaining a clean and safe work area.
10. Ensuring welders adhere to state health and safety regulations.
Welding Inspector Requirements:
11. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar field.
12. Previous work experience as a welding inspector.
13. Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
14. Good communication skills.
15. Knowledge of health and safety practices.
16. Good management and supervision skills.
