Autism Support Worker

The Role
Protocol Education are working alongside a Doncaster based SEN school and are looking for an Autism Support Worker (ASW) to work alongside the teacher to deliver a personalised autism friendly academic and social skills curriculum.
The school aims to build and promote a safe and independent lives for autistic young people through support, understanding and enablement.
Key Aspects of the Role:
* Provide tailored support to pupuls to enable them to learn in an appropiate environment
* Ensure the safeguarding off all pupils
* Provide care as required. This may include personal care and support of SEMH (Training will be provided)
* To assist in delivering and running small group activities
* To support the class teacher in the general running of the sessions
* Prepare materiales, learning aids
Although previous experience working as a TA, or working with SEN is preferred, it is not essential. The school are more interested in you as a person, your personality and ability to form good relationships with students and staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
