You will be responsible for providing day-to-day support and advice to stores on a range of People matters. Working with store management teams to address all Employee Relations cases and ensuring that they are fully supported throughout. You will work closely with the People/Business Partners to drive strategy and operations across their regions.
Duties:
1. Act as a primary contact for incoming store queries, tickets, and requests for advice on a range of People matters. Establish effective connections across the business to build strong trusted relations. Keep the lines of communication with the People Partner clear and open for full oversight of the region.
2. Support People/Business Partners with conducting regular People Store Visits, designed to provide in-depth support to store teams and review all People metrics. Follow up with reporting, actions, and insights.
3. Support recruitment processes to ensure the appropriate approval, advertisement, and selection is in place. Follow through on ensuring all recruitment governance is managed and work with the Learning Partner to ensure a clear induction process is in place.
4. Deputise for People Partners as part of dashboard review and presentation where appropriate.
5. Keep a focus on engagement levels across the region through regular review of exit interview feedback, company surveys, and feedback from store visits. Communicate feedback to key stakeholders and identify areas for improvement.
6. Take a lead on the review of compliance rates for the region, including e-Learning, right to work, DBS, and compliance training. Support stores with action plans to address where rates are not met.
7. Work with Store Managers to ensure Employee Relations cases are managed effectively, legally, and within policy. Lower level cases such as misconduct, AWOL, absence, conflict, and performance concerns are primarily handled by this role. Support the People Partner in the management of higher-level cases.
8. Work with People Partners and other People Advisors to ensure a level of consistency in decision-making to protect the business and provide a consistent experience for our colleagues.
9. Work with Administrators and Coordinators to ensure the administration lifecycle is maintained.
10. Support with change management programmes within the region, including new store openings, restructures, closures, and TUPE.
11. Work with the wider team to regularly review policies and procedures in line with legislation changes and industry trends.
12. Act as a champion of wellbeing initiatives and raise awareness of available support across all regional teams.
13. Have a good understanding of HR best practices and employment law matters.
