Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new role within paediatrics for an assistant Patient Administration Manager, working 26 hours per week. This role will be providing support to the Patient Administration Manager and Service Manager, in managing multiple waiting lists across the paediatric directorate, in line with national waiting list targets. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to be involved in service developments within the outpatient function, as part of the Trust outpatient productivity plans and will have strong links with our elective access teams with regards to dashboard validation and clinic capacity. There would be some elements of supporting the team and team leadership, but not day to day line management of staff. The successful applicant should have excellent communication and team management skills, with an understanding of hospital waiting lists and IT systems and the ability to prioritise, plan and manage workloads independently. Main duties of the job Supporting on any projects relevant to planned care e.g. reduction in DNA's. Reviewing and actioning daily reports e.g. clinic outcomes, patient cancellation report etc. Support with dashboard validation and tracking of patients to ensure good clinical outcomes, and to escalate any blocks as appropriate.
