Project Engineer
My client designs, builds, and operates wind farm and solar PV projects throughout the United Kingdom. They are looking for a motivated and organised Project Engineer to work on upcoming wind farm projects. Sitting in the technical team, the Project Engineer will provide high-quality engineering support to projects in the Development, Construction, and Operational phases.
Responsibilities will include:
* Production of optimised wind farm site layout drawings, access modifications, swept path analysis, legal and planning drawings.
* Estimating and tracking project costs, aiming to reduce costs through design.
* Assisting with projects in development and under construction, striving to achieve the highest health, safety, and quality standards.
* Identifying and reducing risk through design, ensuring projects under development are both practically and financially feasible.
* Provision of technical input to early-stage and pre-planning projects.
* Procurement and coordination of 3rd party technical services.
Essential Requirements:
* Highly proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Vehicle Tracking software.
* Basic knowledge of onshore wind development and construction processes.
* Methodical, accurate, and detail-focused approach.
* Awareness of CDM regulations.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise and manage a demanding workload.
* Flexibility to visit sites throughout the UK.
Desired Skills:
* In-depth knowledge of transport and construction methods as they relate to onshore wind projects.
* Familiarity with wind farm BoP (Balance of Plant) and TSA (turbine supply agreement) contracts.
* Civil3D and Infraworks proficiency.
* Surveying/setting out experience.
