Your Role As a DT Teacher specialising in Resistant Materials, you will: Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of contributing to Key Stage 5. Deliver engaging, practical lessons that cover design processes, material knowledge, manufacturing techniques, and product evaluation. Promote a safe and well-managed workshop environment and guide students in the proper use of tools and equipment. Support curriculum development and contribute ideas to help keep the subject current, inclusive, and exciting. Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and resilience through hands-on project work. Get involved in department-led extra-curricular activities, such as STEM clubs, design competitions, or school exhibitions. ✅ Who We’re Looking For We’re seeking a qualified and passionate teacher who: Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has experience teaching Resistant Materials or Product Design. Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for practical, project-based learning. Can create an inclusive classroom environment that supports a range of abilities and learning styles.
