What will you be doing as our new Land Lead?
Reporting directly to the @one Alliance Enabling Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of landowner engagement, land access and land acquisition activities across the @one Alliance delivery programme.
Key responsibilities:
1. Support Delivery of Land Access & Acquisition Activities
2. Manage external Land Agency related activities.
3. Manage projects (forecasting, costing, and programming), land and interest referencing, access negotiation and management of legal notices using statutory powers, compensation, valuations and settlements.
4. Provide accurate forecasting on land compensation and acquisitions.
5. Identify and engage with strategic regional landowners to ensure Enabling and delivery teams have the best opportunity for gaining approvals in a timely and cost-effective manner.
6. Work with Anglian Water Quality and Environment Teams to develop land strategies to support the implementation of nature-based solutions.
7. Develop strategies to enhance landowner sentiment.
8. Develop, embed, and manage the @one Alliance land strategy.
9. Ensure consistent delivery of land acquisition and access activities across external supply chain partners and internal delivery teams by enhancing existing processes and procedures.
10. Support the ongoing development and transformation of geospatial and digital interfaces with regards to obtaining, recording, communicating, and archiving of land access and acquisition data.
11. Manage Land Agency supply chain partners.
12. Working with the Anglian Water and @one Alliance Procurement teams, support the ongoing development of the existing supply chain, ensuring a ‘fit for purpose’ framework.
A little bit about your skills, experience, and behaviours…
To be successful in this position you will be a Land specialist who has excellent digital and referencing, access and acquisition experience. You will have extensive experience in negotiating terms for property and land access and acquisitions under statutory powers. You have a strong background and demonstrable knowledge of all land rights and interest in related matters and ideally MRICS or AssocRICS qualified.
With your proactive communication skills, you will lead on landowner and occupier engagement, and enjoy sharing your expertise across the @one Alliance and integrated teams. Your ability to work flexibly across several projects and engagement to meet required deadlines without supervision makes you stand out in the crowd!
