CNC Programmer (Milling)
Location: Wolverhampton
Shift: Nights (Monday - Thursday 8:45pm - 7am)
The Role
A precision engineering company undergoing exciting expansion is looking for a CNC Programmer, Setter, Operator to join their manufacturing facility in the West Midlands. This opportunity involves working with the Aerospace, Automotive, and Oil & Gas industries, offering development and progression.
What will you be doing?
1. Ensure all products are handled, milled, and identified in accordance with working practices and procedures, adhering to customer requirements in a safe manner and conforming to all relevant health and safety regulations.
2. Accurately program, set, cut, and identify materials, maximizing stock utilization and minimizing any scrap or damage to both customer products and stock.
3. Maintain and accurately record all details on both the computer-based stock control system and all other supporting documentation.
4. Promote continuous improvement processes to maximize stock productivity and minimize waste in all operational processes.
5. Maintain and promote safe working practices and policies while engaged in your daily role.
What will you bring to the party?
1. Knowledge of all aspects of raw materials as handled by the site.
2. Programming knowledge for machine set-up, preparation, and cutting.
3. Ability to read and understand a cutting pattern to maximize stock utilization and minimize waste.
4. Machine maintenance skills applicable to the type of equipment operated.
5. Experience with Fanuc or Heidenhain.
