Position: Electrical Project Engineer
Location: Derby or Warwickshire (flexible across the region) with hybrid working available
Salary: £55-65k (Neg DOE), car/allowance (dependent upon level) and excellent benefits package
Our Client: An integrated design and build solution provider operating in the water sector with over 1,000 staff across eight regional centres.
The Role: Delivering on behalf of Severn Trent Water one of the largest water infrastructure improvement programmes in the UK. You will be part of the project delivery team and support project management across three sites: Burntwood, Brancote, and Lutterworth.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure project costs do not exceed tender/varied allowance.
2. Ensure all applications for payment are made on or before the due date.
3. Ensure contract reviews and monthly forecasts are completed and submitted on time.
4. Maintain good client relationships at all levels.
5. Assist with the Project Management strategy.
6. Establish and maintain the contract filing systems.
7. Assist in the production of the contract programme; monitor programme and produce progress reports.
8. Provide data for the timely production of O&M manuals.
9. Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers.
10. Liaise with site management on design and procurement issues.
11. Monitor subcontract performance.
12. Assist in the preparation of construction completion and take over documentation.
13. Work closely with design departments to ensure timely progression of quality solutions.
14. Evaluate innovative solutions and processes.
15. Contribute to risk and opportunity schedules on a monthly basis.
16. Ensure designs are developed which are safe to construct, commission, operate and maintain.
17. Complete the capitalisation process.
18. Develop procurement and installation programmes on MS Project and continue monitoring and updating them with the project manager and project team.
19. Draft subcontracts together with the QSs and manage deliver and administer the contracts.
20. Review supply chain designs.
Experience:
1. Electrical Engineering background.
2. Engineering/Technical qualification (HNC minimum) required.
3. Experience of supply chain expedition.
4. Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes (preferred).
5. CDM & Health & Safety knowledge.
6. Relevant professional qualification an advantage.
