We are working with a number of provisions who are eager to welcome Maths graduates into HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) positions, providing a fantastic platform to develop your teaching skills in an educational setting.
This role offers the chance to work closely with experienced educators in an Alternative Provision, supporting pupils aged 11-16. You’ll be delivering engaging maths sessions, working alongside the Maths Lead to plan and implement effective lessons, and making a real difference in the lives of young learners.
Role Details:
* Position: HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant)
* Setting: Alternative Provision (11-16)
* Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:20 am – 3:20 pm
* Pay: £90 - £120 per day (depending on experience)
* Location: Blackburn
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering engaging and well-structured Maths sessions
* Working alongside the Maths Lead to plan and deliver lessons tailored to individual needs
* Providing support to students both in group and 1:1 settings
* Monitoring progress and supporting students’ development in Maths
* Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning
* Assisting in the management of classroom activities and student assessments
Requirements:
* A degree in Maths or a related subject
* Passion for teaching and supporting young people
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Experience working with young people is a plus, but not essential
