Job Summary: The Environmental and Quality Technician will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of environmental and quality programs and policies within our manufacturing facilities to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and quality standards. This role involves conducting environmental and quality assessments, managing waste and resource conservation programs, and collaborating with various departments to integrate environmental and quality considerations into manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the development and implementation of environmental and quality policies and programs specific to manufacturing operations.
Conduct environmental and quality impact assessments and audits of manufacturing processes.
Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and quality standards within the manufacturing sector.
Manage waste reduction, recycling, and resource conservation programs in manufacturing facilities.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to integrate environmental and quality practices into manufacturing operations.
Provide training and support to staff on environmental and quality issues and best practices in manufacturing.
Prepare reports and documentation for regulatory agencies and quality audits.
Stay updated on environmental laws, regulations, and industry best practices relevant to manufacturing.
Participate in sustainability and quality improvement initiatives and projects within the manufacturing sector.
Promote environmental and quality awareness and education within the organization.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues.
Develop and maintain quality documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and quality records.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental and quality management within the manufacturing industry.
Knowledge of environmental regulations and quality compliance requirements specific to manufacturing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and environmental and quality management software.
Certification in environmental management (e.g., ISO 14001) and quality management (e.g., ISO 9001) is a plus.
