Birmingham campus base, but should be able and prepared to work at home, and at other locations as necessary. Provide effective support to deliver the University's obligations under the UKVI Points Based Immigration System through ensuring compliance with Home Office and University immigration policies. To be considered for this role, you will need:
1. Good level of general education.
2. Previous administrative experience within the higher education sector.
3. Demonstrable experience of working in a complex regulatory environment.
4. Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and with a wide variety of stakeholders.
5. Evidence of excellent attention to detail.
6. Evidence of the ability to take ownership of and responsibility for complex student visa matters.
7. Ability to meet tight deadlines and plan own workload as required.
8. Knowledge of relevant immigration & UKVI regulations.
9. Knowledge of the issues facing international students in the UK.
10. IT literacy, with knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, and the ability to learn new packages.
11. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a dispersed team.
It would also be beneficial if you have:
1. A degree level qualification or equivalent.
2. Recent experience of working with international students.
