Application Support Engineer
Location: Hybrid – Chorley, Lancashire – 2 days onsite
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
About the Role
We are seeking an Application Support Engineer to join our growing team and play a key role in providing technical support and problem resolution for our SaaS platform. You’ll act as a bridge between 1st Line Support and our development team, handling more complex customer queries and technical issues.

Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and resolve technical issues such as database errors, API failures, and system integration challenges.
* Escalate critical issues to 3rd line support or development teams when necessary.
* Monitor system alerts and proactively address potential issues.
* Provide clear, professional communication to customers to ensure a high-quality support experience.
* Contribute to documentation, internal knowledge bases, and process improvements.
* Collaborate with 1st line support, development, QA, and infrastructure teams.
* Suggest enhancements to monitoring systems and support processes to improve efficiency.
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 3 years in a technical support or 2nd line support role within a SaaS environment.
* Experience using Zendesk & Jira to a high standard.
* ITIL certification required.
* Strong troubleshooting skills, with experience in SaaS platforms, databases (SQL), and diagnostic tools.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
