SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Teacher
Location: Kensington
Salary: £180 - £240 per day, depending on experience and qualifications

As a SEND Teacher, you will inspire and support students with diverse learning needs, fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment. You will work closely with a dedicated team of educators and specialists to create individualized learning plans and ensure each student has the tools they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver personalized teaching to students with a wide range of special educational needs, from moderate to complex.
2. Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring that they are regularly reviewed and adapted to meet students' evolving needs.
3. Use creative teaching strategies and resources to engage students in the curriculum, fostering their academic and social development.
4. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams including therapists and support staff to provide a holistic approach to student development.
5. Track and assess students’ progress, making adjustments to teaching methods to ensure continued progress.
6. Promote a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages student participation and confidence.
7. Stay informed about the latest developments in SEND education and incorporate new approaches into your teaching.
About You:
1. Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Additional qualifications or training in SEND are highly desirable.
2. Experience: Previous experience working with SEND students in an educational setting is essential. Experience working with students with complex needs is a plus.
3. Skills: Strong communication skills, creativity in lesson planning, and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of professionals.
4. Mindset: Empathetic, patient, and committed to providing the best possible education to students with special needs. A positive, solution-focused approach to challenges is essential.
