We are looking for an experienced working cleaning supervisor to work with and to manage a cleaning team, including development of staff and maintain excellent service standards for the delivery of routine planned and periodic cleaning for a Mitie customer. You will be responsible for the delivery of routine planned and periodic cleaning. You will ensure that the cleaning staff understand and work to task schedules while following the correct Health & Safety procedures by providing technical training as and when required. You will distribute uniforms, monitor standard of cleanliness and the use of materials and order stocks as necessary. You will deal with any issues efficiently and in a professional manner, referring to line manager where appropriate. The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory and cleaning experience. They will have good communication skills, be reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude and they will be able to work to a schedule on their own initiative. Main Duties:
* Organising you team to deliver of a high-quality cleaning standard across all your areas
* Carry out toolbox talks and training with your team.
* Conduct and complete a set number of cleaning cupboard audits per month.
* Manage your stock levels and reorder in good time.
* Assisting with organising site holiday / sickness cover.
* Dealing with site complaints.
* Submitting hazards reports for your team.
* Communicates in an engaging way.
* Brings to life the Mitie values daily ensuring they and their teams demonstrate the exceptional every day.
Person Specification:
* Previous cleaning experience
* Fully Understands colour coding/ COSHH & Risk assessments.
* Have the IT ability to use an app to conduct and complete cleaning audits.
* Understands the organisations goals and objectives and can bring these to life in theirs/their teams' daily activities.
* Demonstrates forward thinking/planning, with a positive and can-do attitude and can flex their style to meet the needs of the business.
* Can effectively plan and manage own workloads, however, understands when to ask for support when needed.
* Good decision-making skills.
* Represents Mitie and the client always in a professional, courteous, and confident manner.
* A team player with the ability to lead by example through operational excellence, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact at all levels.
Job Details:
* Pay: £12.44 per hour.
* Contract Type: Part Time.
* Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday from 3pm to 7pm.
* Hours: 20 hours per week.
* Holidays: 20 days plus all bank holidays
* Pay: Monthly pay paid on the 11th of each month
* Location: Essex County Council - Chelmsford - County Hall
