It has been fully refurbished inside and out while still maintaining the character of the original building. The College Caretaker will be supported by our Site Manager who oversees both the School and College sites. A unique aspect of the role is the opportunity to support student work experience in maintaining the College site, working alongside our fantastic young people. The position is offered as 37 hours per week, worked Monday – Thursday 8.30am-4.30pm and Friday 8.15am-3.45pm during term time. The Caretaker will be contracted for 44 weeks per year, term time plus the equivalent of 5 weeks to be worked during school holiday periods as mutually agreed. Keeping Children Safe in Education Beaucroft School and College will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
