We are keen to recruit new members to our Management Committee to lead and direct the Association to achieve our new Vision to make “Easthall Park – A Great Place to Live”.
Easthall Park is situated in the north-east of Glasgow in the Easterhouse area. We are a small community-based charitable housing association that owns and manages 750 properties and provides high quality and responsive services to support our tenants and other residents living in our communities, which are within the most deprived areas in Scotland.
It is an exciting time in Easthall Park as we continue our journey to excel in the delivery of our service and improve our tenants’ homes and our communities. We are working on ambitious plans to develop our Trade Team to attend to our cyclical and major repairs programme, as well as an array of other improvements in our work and service.
As a result of these opportunities and challenges and to ensure the Management Committee is representative of the communities we service, we are keen to recruit new Management Committee members with the following experience and demographic and ethnic profile.
Experience:
* Governance
* Maintenance
* Human Resources
* Community Regeneration
* Property and Asset Management
Demographic & Ethnic Profile:
* People aged between 18-40.
* People of black & minority ethnic profile.
The position of Management Committee member is voluntary and can be very rewarding, where you will:
* Be involved in the key decisions that will improve our service and the quality of lives and living conditions of our tenants.
* Develop your skills and knowledge through a programme of training and new responsibilities as a member of the Committee.
* Be able to attend our annual mini-conference and sector seminars and conferences to network and learn about the role and key issues affecting our work.
* Make a major contribution to achieve our vision to make “Easthall Park – A Great Place to Live” and improve the quality of lives and living conditions of people living in our communities in the Easthall and Kildermorie areas of Easterhouse.
We will support you to play a key role on the Committee through:
* The completion of an induction programme.
* Providing reasonable expenses to facilitate attendance at meetings.
* Developing a training programme to enhance your knowledge and learning to enhance your contribution for the Committee to lead and direct the Association.
