We are seeking a meticulous Quality Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards.
The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet quality standards and customer requirements. They play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality products by conducting inspections and audits throughout the production process. Naturally, the Quality Technician is required to highlight any non-conformance and take appropriate action as per the quality manual.
The Quality Technician works closely with Quality and Engineering to ensure that PPAP elements are completed correctly and on time. Their ability to provide clear, data-driven feedback is very important and enables the business to effectively introduce new parts to production and implement improvements to current processes.
Duties
1. Provide accurate measurement support where and when required.
2. Conduct inspection of first and last offs.
3. Conduct regular patrol inspections in all areas. Inclusive of dimensional and welding testing.
4. Verify jigs and templates in line with the calibration system procedures.
Qualifications
1. Proven experience working within a similar role in an engineering manufacturing environment (e.g. Automotive/Aerospace).
2. Hold a CSWIP/Equivalent visual weld inspection certificate or ability and willingness to obtain.
3. Proficiency with measuring arms (e.g. Faro), CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), and general handheld equipment (e.g. vernier, tape rule, bevel box).
4. Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings. Knowledge of GD&T.
