Job summary This is an exciting time to join Chestnut tree clinical team whilst we are undergoing service transformation and development. We are investing in a wide range or roles within the clinical team to support our outreach and engagement with children, young people and families. Main duties of the job We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate Senior nurse to provide Children Young People (CYPs) palliative care as part of a multi-disciplinary team, working in Chestnut Tree care team. Childrens palliative care involves delivering short respite breaks aimed at having fun and living well with life limited conditions as well as end of life care. We have a mixture of paediatric nurses, adult nurses and learning disability nurses working in the inhouse team. As a senior nurse you will line manage a small team of junior nurses and care support workers, and demonstrate the ability to lead and inspire to ensure the provision of excellent clinical care. The post holder will also have opportunities if desired, to develop in and support community short breaks in children and young peoples homes. We are striving for excellence and have new workstreams to support transition, end of life care, learning disabilities, patient experience and patient safety.
