We have openings for Engineering Apprentices focusing on Technical, Production, Engineering, and Electrical trades.
About the Apprenticeship:
* Location: 1st Year – MGTS Coventry, 2nd – 4th Year – Based at the Plant with weekly day release.
* Duration: Four-year program starting in September 2025.
* Pathways: Level 3 Engineering.
* Qualification: Study for a Level 3 Advanced Engineering Apprenticeship

Full Job Description:
Main Purpose of the Position
This 4 year fixed term role may lead to the opportunity of completing a HNC along with the Level 3 Diploma in partnership with MGTS.
Key Responsibilities:
* Adhere to business policies not limited to health and safety, attendance, conduct and quality standards
* Install and maintain high-speed, industrial process equipment for can making. This includes mechanical and electrical elements
* Troubleshoot, adjust, and repair all complex high-speed equipment down to component level
* Perform preventative maintenance on assigned mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
* Identify inefficiencies and potential process problems and co-ordinate through supervisor to resolve
* Diagnose causes of malfunctions and correct through proper fault finding techniques
* Update schematics, technical drawings and software printouts
* Maintain daily routine checks in all process areas
* Continuous monitoring of equipment conditions
* Carry out planned maintenance and ad hoc maintenance such as on conversion days
* Carry out improvements in the process
* Support trials and new equipment installation and commissioning
* Spares monitoring
* Shift support / cover when required
* Log-books and records
* Must follow company policies, procedures, practices, and standards of conduct as outlined in the plant terms and conditions
* Must follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for your area of responsibility
* Must comply with established job safety practices, policies and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives for the safe performance of the work assignment
* Must be aware and complies with hazardous waste management and other environmental management requirements in the workplace by attending scheduled training sessions

* Candidates must have a good knowledge of engineering practices and be able to set clear priorities even under pressure. Candidates must have strong communication skills and be able to work both as part of a team and to their own initiative and build relationships with external contractors
* Previous Job / Project Experience: Hobbies/ pastimes to include with anything engineering related (e.g. help fix cars, taking things apart and re-assemble)
