Our client, a leader in the water sector, is currently seeking experienced Wastewater Design Engineers to join their growing team in Leeds or Preston on a contract basis. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, sustainable, and innovative wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure designs for major water companies as part of the AMP8 framework.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLead and contribute to the design of wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and sewerage networks\nDevelop concept, outline, and detailed designs in compliance with client specifications and industry standards\nConduct hydraulic modelling, process engineering assessments, and feasibility studies\nWork collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers\nLiaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure designs meet project requirements\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and graduates\nEnsure designs comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations\nSupport the preparation of project proposals, reports, and documentation\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nDegree in Civil Engineering or related discipline\nChartered or working towards Chartership with ICE, CIWEM, or IStructE (desirable)\nExperience in wastewater design within a consultancy or contractor environment\nProficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, MicroDrainage, InfoWorks ICM, or similar\nStrong knowledge of UK water industry standards, including Sewers for Adoption and relevant British Standards\nExperience in hydraulic modelling and process engineering principles\nExcellent communication and problem-solving skills\nAbility to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines\nIf you are a skilled Wastewater Design Engineer looking for a new challenge, apply today
