National Fleet Sales Manager, Vertu Motors We are looking for a National Fleet Sales Manager to join our Vertu Group Fleet Team. You will be responsible for driving the success of national fleet sales by leading a team of Fleet Business Development Managers (BDM's). This role focuses on developing new fleet business opportunities, managing high-level client relationships, and ensuring the team meets strategic sales objectives. We are offering a basic salary of £45,000 plus bonus, a company car, as well as fantastic company benefits. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of the automotive fleet industry, and a proven ability to lead high-performance sales teams. Key Responsibilities: Lead, coach, and develop a national team of Fleet Business Development Managers to achieve individual and team sales targets. Set clear performance goals and KPIs; monitor progress and provide regular feedback and support. Develop and execute the national fleet sales strategy in alignment with organisational objectives. Foster a high-performance sales culture, promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Identify and secure new national fleet accounts, while supporting BDMs in closing complex deals. Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in large corporations, leasing companies, and government entities. Partner with internal departments (dealers) to streamline sales processes and improve customer satisfaction. Analyse market trends and client feedback to identify new business opportunities and areas for growth. Prepare and present sales performance reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership. Represent the group at industry events, conferences, and fleet expos. Conduct reviews and hold team meetings Qualifications: 7 years of experience in fleet or automotive sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of leading and motivating sales teams to exceed targets. Deep understanding of fleet procurement, leasing structures, and the automotive B2B sales cycle. Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to travel nationally as required (up to 50%). Proficiency in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
