The Role We are seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to cover a long-term maternity leave in a Year 5/6 class. This full-time role will begin in April and will require a teacher who can deliver engaging lessons, support students in preparing for transition to secondary school, and create an inclusive and inspiring learning environment. Main Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the curriculum. Assess and track student progress, ensuring all children reach their full potential. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners. Work closely with support staff to provide additional learning support. Communicate effectively with parents/carers and external professionals as needed. Contribute to the wider school community and participate in staff meetings, assemblies and training. Essential Criteria Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Experience teaching Key Stage 2. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and engage pupils. Ability to differentiate lessons to support diverse learning needs. Passion for helping students develop both academically and personally. Access to own transport. Desirable Criteria A strong understanding of SEND and strategies to support children with additional needs.
