What the Job Involves As a Social Worker in Bexley Children’s Services, you will engage with Looked After Children, focusing on permanence planning and life-story work to ensure children have a firm understanding of their family history. You will manage a caseload that includes vulnerable clients with complex needs, making professional judgments to support child safety and welfare. Your role involves working collaboratively with families and other professionals, undertaking assessments, implementing and reviewing children’s care plans, and overseeing legal actions when necessary. You will utilize the Signs of Safety practice model to assess and support children’s development while fostering a non-discriminatory environment. You are also expected to regularly engage in reflective practice to further professional development and improvement.
