The Role
Charles Taylor InsureTech is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to provide timely and efficient 2nd and 3rd Level support to the organisation’s user community as part of our Infrastructure Support Team. The Engineer should have experience supporting, enhancing and implementing Network, Telephony, Application services and EUC to maintain timely operation services to our Business.
This specific role supports a 24x7 operations team across multiple sites and therefore requires the Engineer to undertake site support and provide out-of-hours support as part of the IT Call-Rota.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the ongoing support and configuration of our Network, Telephony, Application services and EUC.
* Monitor performance, utilisation and schedules coverage for all specialised operational functions such as logging, backup archiving and restoration of critical data and services.
* Develop and test recovery procedures in the event of individual or catastrophic failure.
* Support the deployment and maintenance of the D365 Office Suite of Applications.
* Work with the Service Desk and Desktop support Teams to enhance their capabilities to resolve incidents and requests.
* Respond to assigned requests for IT support and services (including incidents, and service requests) in a timely, polite, and efficient fashion, adhering to the defined SLA timeframes.
* Manage Vendors and suppliers to ensure satisfactory support levels are achieved and timely delivery of services.
* Assist in the development and implementation of the company’s technology strategy.
* Provision and deploy new equipment and applications to individuals and groups, following the appropriate processes and ensuring compliance with licensing requirements.
* Perform proactive maintenance on supported systems.
* Build positive relationships with other Teams to enhance the level of service provided.
* Positively contribute ideas and feedback to help the team grow and improve; participate actively in team meetings and other activities as required.
* Provide On-Call support via the Out of Hours on-call rota.
* Contribute to project activity, completing assigned tasks as necessary to the designated timescales.

Required Skills
* Experience working with infrastructure in both physical locations, offices and Data Centres as well as Cloud operations in AWS and Azure.
* Experience with AWS services including compute, storage, networking and automation.
* Experience with Telephony PBX systems such as MITEL 250/MiVoice Business and call recorders.
* Experience with networking such as firewalls, switches, TCP/IP and have an understanding of SIP/ISDN telephony communication protocol.
* Experience in managing Windows Server DNS DHCP, SQL, PowerShell scripting.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to prioritise own workload and meet agreed deadlines.
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
* Exposure to common applications i.e. Microsoft Office & Outlook and other Microsoft Applications.
* Knowledge of Active Directory Administration including Group Policies.
* Experience in Exchange Online, Mimecast.
* Hardware installation and troubleshooting, including laptops, desktops, telephones, mobile telephony, printers, and other peripherals.
* Experience of common build and imaging software for deploying corporate standard images to standard desktop hardware.
* Experience in IT Service management logging systems; ideally Service Now or similar.
