Site Supervisor - Substation Upgrade Works
A leading electrical engineering firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Supervisor to join our team on a major substation upgrade project. This exciting opportunity will involve overseeing a team of skilled electricians and technicians, ensuring the project is completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
About the Role:
As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of construction activities on site, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, safety protocols, and deadlines. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Team Leadership: Leading and motivating a team of skilled electricians and technicians, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
* Construction Supervision: Directing and overseeing the execution of all construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
* Quality Control: Implementing and enforcing rigorous quality control procedures, ensuring all work meets the highest standards of workmanship and complies with project specifications.
* Safety Management: Establishing and enforcing stringent safety protocols on site, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies, and maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.
* Material Management: Overseeing the ordering, delivery, and storage of construction materials, ensuring sufficient supplies are available at the right time.
* Progress Reporting: Providing regular updates to the Project Manager on the progress of the project, identifying any potential challenges or delays.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Proven Experience: You possess experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role in the electrical engineering sector, with a proven track record of successfully delivering substation projects.
* Technical Expertise: You have a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, construction techniques, and safety procedures related to substation works.
* Team Management Skills: You are an effective leader, able to motivate and inspire teams, manage performance, and resolve conflicts effectively.
* Safety Focus: You are a safety advocate, committed to ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
* Communication Skills: You are an effective communicator, able to clearly convey instructions, provide feedback, and maintain open communication with the project team.
