About the Role
As a Digital Content Strategist, you will be responsible for planning, creating, executing, and measuring an engaging content calendar for organic social media, while retaining the global brand identity. Your key duties will include daily management of Garmin UK social media channels in line with the UK and Ireland marketing strategy, creating engaging, social-first content for Garmin UK social channels (organic and paid), and delivering effective and consistent community management by playing an active role on our social feeds. You will also manage the social media calendar to maximize the impact of product launches, events, and brand campaigns, research and monitor the latest social media marketing trends, maintain a level of professional knowledge of social media tactics, and manage influencer communications across multiple segments to ensure relationships with our brand advocates remain strong. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Segment Marketing team on brand ambassador plans to maximize opportunities on Garmin and ambassador social channels, work alongside the Social Media Manager to track and report on social media activity, converting data into insight, and ensure effective internal communications to inform all stakeholders of social media activity.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, create, execute, and measure an engaging content calendar for organic social media

• Create engaging, social-first content for Garmin UK social channels (organic and paid)
• Deliver effective and consistent community management by playing an active role on our social feeds
• Manage the social media calendar to maximize the impact of product launches, events, and brand campaigns
• Research and monitor the latest social media marketing trends and maintain a level of professional knowledge of social media tactics
• Manage influencer communications across multiple segments to ensure relationships with our brand advocates remain strong
• Collaborate with the Segment Marketing team on brand ambassador plans to maximize opportunities on Garmin and ambassador social channels
• Work alongside the Social Media Manager to track and report on social media activity, converting data into insight
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar social media role, with experience creating engaging and innovative social-first content for a brand, good level of content editing skills, experience managing and engaging with online communities for a brand, experience working with influencers and managing relationships, excellent social media copywriting skills, experience measuring the success of social media marketing and community management, excellent organization, planning, and analytical skills, proficiency using and/or willingness to learn social media management tools, capable of working autonomously and multitasking in a high-pressure environment, and excellent interpersonal and relationship development skills. The ideal candidate will have creative flair, passion for fitness and the outdoors, and be proficient in English language (<£40,000 per annum)
