Ocean Infinity is seeking a Vessel Mobilisation Manager that will be pivotal in coordinating the different departments into successfully configuring our vessels and assets to be project ready and maximise commercial revenue by executing safe and efficient mobilisations on time and everything working in order to be project ready.
Reporting into the Vessel Operations Lead with any problems or slippages to the commercial plan. This role is critical to supporting the company’s growth, operational success, and commitment to delivering projects on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.
What you will do:
Service Delivery Projects
* Be involved in tendering and be the one source of truth on the status of our fleet;
* Highlight risks in equipment readiness at an early stage before contract awards;
* Provide estimated costs as part of the tendering process on mobilisations.
Operational Coordination
* Serve as the primary liaison between operational teams, service delivery teams, and OSM Thome vessel managers;
* Main point of contact on engineering requirements to the technical team focussing on requirements and standards in compliance to flag and class;
* Responsible for managing DNV Veracity Alteration projects related to back deck changes;
* Collate proposed deck plans and detailed scope of works from the engineering and payload teams;
* Responsible for creation and implementation of Management of Change;
* Support payload operations by ensuring vessels are operationally prepared for deployment;
* Ensure regulatory compliance is maintained.
Yard and Mobilisations Oversight
* Work with OSM Thome on selecting yards and building yard contracts based on work scopes;
* Build and oversee budget;
* Initiate timelines to share with the Vessel Planner;
* Oversee mobilisation superintendents and payload teams as main POC between the teams and the yard;
* Track variations with the yard and manage the contracts;
* Ensure quality control of all works;
* Ensure required documentation is updated and produced.
Safety and Compliance
* Ensure all vessel operations adhere to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices;
* Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across all aspects of operations.
Technical oversight
* Assist Lead Vessel Operations manager in vessel inspections to ensure OSM Thome are upkeeping the vessels to company standards.
Who you are:
* Good knowledge and understanding of subsea equipment;
* Good understanding of Marine operations and compliance;
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on operational efficiency and risk mitigation;
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to act as a liaison across multiple teams;
* Familiarity with OSM Thome or equivalent vessel management frameworks;
* Experienced in managing yard contracts;
* Basic knowledge of project survey work;
* Good practical experience with office tools: MS Office, Teams, Email, Autocad, project;
* Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and optimise operational workflows.
Salary for this position:
Up to £60,000 per annum. The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
