Payroll Associate iMultiply is recruiting for the position of Payroll Associate based in Edinburgh. The Company This well-established chartered accountancy firm is a vibrant, dynamic accountancy practice based in Edinburgh. This independent firmworks with SME’s across Scotland and provides Accounts, Tax, Payroll, VAT and Management Accounting services. Due to exciting growth, theyare now seeking an experienced Payroll Associate to join their team. This companyisflexible on whether the role is full-time or part-time but will need at least 25 hours per week. You will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties: Preparation of monthly and weekly client payrolls using IRIS Payroll Professional, knowledge of XERO would be advantageous Submission of RTI Reports to HMRC Dealing with client queries about any aspect of their payroll, tax, NIC, tax coding, PAYE balances Efficient management of joiners and leavers, issue of P45 Liaising with new clients about their payroll and pension set up and ensuring we get payroll right from day one Submission of auto-enrolment reports to various pension providers Delivering high levels of client care at all times. Small businesses need to pay their staff the correct amount and on time, so you must have impeccable attention to detail The Role In the Payroll Associate role, you will be reporting to the payroll manager and will need to be able to work independently using your own initiative and be driven to provide a top-quality service for clients. This will be a very rewarding role for a self-motivated person. If you’re the person we’re looking for you will have: To be considered for the role you will ideallyhave: Worked in a dedicated payroll position with at least 2 years of experience Experience of 'end to end’ client payroll and have built up a good and transparent working relationship with clients Worked in a practice where you have managed multiple client payrolls A good understanding of the Auto-Enrolment rules and have experience in submitting reports to The Pensions Regulator, and pension companies while dealing with queries from both clients and pension companies Confident in calculating salaries moving within tax and National Insurance thresholds Confident dealing with different pension set ups A good understanding of year-to-date figures and how to reconcile those to the previous accountant’s records Had some experience of P11Ds (if not training will be provided) On offer The position of Payroll Associate will offer a salary of up to £33,000depending on your skills and experience.
