We help our customers solve their technical challenges by partnering with them to design bespoke tooling for their application, and moulding their finished products in our Leicestershire factory.
We’re looking for a Technical Sales Executive to join the team and drive growth of new projects while ensuring our existing customers receive an excellent experience to position us as their injection moulding partner of choice.
The Technical Sales Executive works closely with the Works Director and Design Manager to manage the flow of customer enquiries through the design process into finished products that are made in our factory.
The company has recently been acquired and the new ownership are looking to make new investments to increase our brand awareness while tweaking our sales approach to take us to the next level.
The position would suit someone who is eager to learn and make a difference. They’d likely have a few years’ experience in CAD/design or a manufacturing sales background and are looking to get involved in taking concepts all the way to finished products.
The role offers significant scope to learn all aspects of toolmaking and injection moulding from our experienced team, and to become part of a growing group of companies.
New Business Pipeline (50%)
* Proactively seeks new opportunities through direct outreach methods including phone, email and social media marketing.
* Maintains pipeline of new business quotations and uses feedback to tweak approach, positioning and/or service offering.
Account Management (50%)
* Maintains frequent contact and minimises customer churn by monitoring performance vs. budgeted expectations.
* Builds an understanding of each customer’s project lifetime, and ensures Dudley Associates is positioned to serve all future customer needs.
* First point of contact for enquiries or service issues. Manages customer credit checks and escalation in case of overdue payments.
Marketing
* Manages the relationships with 3rd party marketing companies including website, social media and PPC campaigns.
* Regularly attends relevant trade shows to stay on top of market developments.
* Responsible for representing Dudley Associates and building the reputation of the business.
Pricing
* Frequently reviews pricing to grow margin and minimise the impact of inflation.
* Uses pricing as a tool to “cleanse” low performing or complex customers/products.
Required Experience/Background:
* 3 years+ experience in Sales/Account Management/Design role for a manufacturing business, ideally within CAD/product design and/or plastics/injection moulding.
* Uses data to make decisions and has experience building costs and quotations to ensure company margin goals are hit.
* Competent at managing a pipeline of new business opportunities and quotations.
* Not afraid to attend trade shows and make new contacts from scratch.
* Keen to learn, adept at building relationships and offers excellent service.
* Does what they say they will do.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8.30 – 5.00 with occasional travel to customers/trade shows.
Location: Lutterworth, Leicestershire. Office based, although hybrid flexible working/partial work from home is also possible.

Pay: From £35,000.00 per year
