We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for two Permanent Electricians to join our dynamic Area 12 M&R team at Tingley Motorway Maintenance Depot, Dewsbury Road, Tingley, WF3 1SW.
Our team are responsible for incident management, defect rectification and responding to severe weather. They also oversee traffic management during incidents and the operation of the ten maintenance depots in the region.
The standard hours of work are 45 hours per week with a rotating shift patterning included day and night shifts.
What You'll Do:
1. Assist electrical testing of street lighting
2. Carry out routine maintenance
3. Block change and clean lanterns
4. Clean signs and bollards
5. Install electrical equipment
6. Excavate for bollard and sign foundations
7. Completion of required test sheets and work records
8. Working at heights of up to 12 metres
9. High demand for Physical tasks ie. Digging
10. There will be a requirement to work some unsociable hours and overtime
11. Provide support to other Amey contracts as required
12. Must have a mature and professional attitude to work, be resourceful and capable of working independently and as part of a team
13. Responsibility for the security of plant, tools and materials
14. Responsible for the safe use of vehicles
