If you're ready to be part of a pioneering team that’s reshaping industries and pushing the boundaries of technology, we want to hear from you We are looking for a proactive and ambitious Operations Manager with a strong, hands-on background in composite materials to lead our production operations and ensure the highest standards in efficiency, quality and innovation. What will you be doing? Production Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations within the composite production facility, ensuring efficient workflows and meeting production targets. Hands-On Leadership: Use your in-depth knowledge of composite manufacturing to actively guide and support the team with technical challenges and process improvements. Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. Process Optimisation: Identify opportunities to enhance production processes, introducing lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Quality Assurance: Ensure products meet rigorous quality standards and industry regulations, collaborating with the QA team to address any issues promptly. Health & Safety Compliance: Promote a safe work environment by adhering to regulations and conducting regular safety audits. Supply Chain Coordination: Work closely with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials, while maintaining cost control. Technology Integration: Stay updated on advancements in composite manufacturing technologies and explore their implementation to enhance operations. Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of operational strategies that align with iCOMAT’s growth objectives and stand in for the Operations Director. What do we need from you? Education: Education in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field in desirable. A master’s degree is preferred, or equivalent industry experience. Experience: Minimum 10 years in a production or operations management role in the composite manufacturing industry. Hands-on experience with composite materials and manufacturing processes, including troubleshooting and process development. Skills: Strong leadership abilities with experience managing and motivating teams. Expertise in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office Suite. Certifications: Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent is a plus.
