Locogen are looking for an experienced Solar Asset Manager to join our innovative renewable energy company.

Our work is innovative and varied across Wind, Solar PV, Battery Storage (BESS), and Hydrogen.

About our Solar Asset Manager role:
You will be working in a small Asset Management team looking after our clients’ solar portfolios and some of our own assets. You will proactively manage solar assets ensuring they operate effectively and efficiently whilst maximising our clients’ profits. You’ll be working on the day-to-day operations of solar assets, identifying and monitoring performance trends and looking for ways to optimise performance and generation.
We are ideally looking for an asset manager with some technical knowledge, but we have a team of technical experts on hand to ask questions if you are less technical and want to learn.
Some of the things you will be doing:
* Being the main point of contact for key stakeholders (clients, contractors, landowners, local authorities, utility representatives, and residents) for the assets that you manage and supporting the team with the assets they manage (where required). Effective management of meetings and site issues.
* Delivery of Solar Asset management services including: SCADA and performance monitoring; reporting; regular site inspections; managing O&M providers; responding to faults and complaints; managing operational contracts; and providing operation control according to industry best practice standards.
* Performance analysis and operational management of solar assets.
* Reviewing, assessing, and improving performance of assets, identifying root causes of potential underperformance and recommending cost-effective solutions.
* Onboarding existing and new clients and maintaining in-depth knowledge of client operations and requirements.
* Responsibility for solar portfolio financials including: approving costs and invoices against contracts, updating internal documentation, creating costs/benefit scenarios and payback analysis, and updating operational budgets on behalf of clients.
* Contract management
Key skills and experience we are looking for:
* Solar Asset management experience.
* Strong understanding and demonstrable experience of solar plant performance analysis.
* Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the commercial terms of renewable energy asset contracts, including PPAs, EPC contracts, warranties, performance guarantees, etc.
* Knowledge of SCADA systems and data interfaces.
* Confidence to take decisions.
* Strong interpersonal, management, and prioritisation skills.
