A well-established firm of solicitors in Kent, with over 70 employees, is seeking a Senior Private Client Solicitor to join their team at Partner level.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced Senior Private Client Solicitor to oversee a busy and varied Private Client department based in Gravesend. The successful Senior Private Client Solicitor will play a pivotal role in providing expert legal advice and managing a diverse portfolio of private client work.
The Senior Private Client Solicitor's Role
As a Senior Private Client Solicitor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of private client work, ensuring high standards of client service and legal expertise. The role involves handling complex cases in areas including:
1. Estate and Care Fees Planning
2. Wills and Will Writing
3. Lasting Powers of Attorney
4. Court of Protection
5. Trusts and Trust Administration
6. Probate and Administration of Estates
7. Inheritance Tax Planning and Investments
8. Charities
9. Deputyship
You will be expected to manage your own caseload, ensuring that work is completed efficiently and to a high standard. The Senior Private Client Solicitor will also be involved supervising other members of the team and working with the Head of Department to contribute to the strategic direction of the department.
The Senior Private Client Solicitor
To be considered for this role, you should have:
10. A minimum of 10 years' PQE in private client work, with a strong focus on wills, trusts, estates, and tax issues.
11. Proven ability to manage a varied and complex caseload independently.
12. Excellent client-facing skills, with a professional appearance and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.
13. STEP membership - The firm is committed to supporting ongoing professional development and will consider candidates who are currently undertaking STEP qualifications.
