Audiology has a team of 5 Assistant Audiology Practitioners who are the first point of contact for many of our hearing aid patients who are struggling with need further support with their hearing aids. This role provides support to those patients through direct patient contact, both in face-to-face hearing aid repair clinics and through phone trigae clinics. Patients also have indirect support through postal hearing aid repairs and drop off options. You will be trained to undertake all types of basic hearing aid repairs, including taking earmould impressions, replacing spare parts & lost hearing aids, fitting new earmoulds, servicing hearing aids and replacing them if a fault is found, alongside signposting patients for further support. In addition, this role is vital in supporting stock control and other clinically relevant administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of other clinics. Ideal candidates will have, excellent customer service skills, a professional and positive approach to supporting patients, be able to work as part of team and show initiative in supporting the department. Audiology Tayside runs clinics across Tayside, your main base will be at Kings Cross Health & Community Centre, Dundee but you will be expected to travel to other locations when required.
