Our Home treatment teams have been awarded significant new funds to expand their service provision. This includes a number of new psychological professions posts for HTTs in Kent and Medway.
The teams are based in Canterbury, Gillingham, Dartford. All posts are for a minimum of 3 days per week (0.6wte), we welcome applications for full time work.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide psychological assessment and treatment of individuals in acute mental health crisis.
2. Provide specialist consultation, training, and supervision to non-psychologically trained clinical staff in evidence-based psychological interventions.
3. Participate in the provision of Psychological Practice to adults with severe and enduring mental health difficulties, aged 18 and upwards.
4. Responsible for the systematic provision of a range of evidence-based psychological interventions.
5. Undertake high quality direct (assessment and therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory and evaluative) specialist psychology interventions.
6. Ensure the clinical effectiveness of own practice and of service functioning by undertaking research and development relevant to the service area.
7. Provide training placements for trainee applied psychologists and professional support to basic/senior psychologists.
8. Provide specialist psychological assessment of adults with severe and enduring mental health difficulties.
9. Formulate and implement plans of specialist psychological treatment or management.
10. Undertake a range of psychological therapeutic interventions.
11. Provide specialist psychological advice to the multi-disciplinary formulation of appropriate therapeutic approaches.
12. Undertake psychologically based risk assessment and risk management for relevant clients.
13. Consult with and provide specialist psychological guidance to carers and families of service users.
The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
