Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm

Job purpose: To provide a high quality education support service to Service Users in accordance with Company policies, procedures and practices and the standards set by the Regulatory Body.
Responsibilities:
1. Support the class teacher/tutor to ensure the delivery of a high quality education for all students.
2. Implement all relevant education policies and procedures.
3. Provide relevant and appropriate support to students, on an individual or group basis.
4. Promote the physical, educational and moral development of the students.
5. Ensure that equipment and resources are used, stored, and maintained efficiently.
6. Organise the classroom, its resources, student groupings, and displays.
7. Assist in writing, updating, implementing, and evaluating documentation relating to individual students.
8. Collaborate with the class teacher to ensure the safety of students.
9. Produce appropriate resources/teaching aids as requested by the class teacher.
10. Contribute as a member of the School’s multi-professional team.

Acorn Park is a school for 160 pupils, primarily diagnosed with Autism. We offer two curriculum pathways – Formal and Semi-formal. Our Complex needs pupils are on the Semi-Formal Pathway which is highly personalised from their EHCP. We have a mixture of Day and Residential pupils as we have 8 co-located pupil’s homes on our 30 Acre site in rural Norfolk.
