Our pharmacy team delivers an exceptional patient-centred service across our world-renown campus that house several centres of excellence from to Complex Oncology to Cardiac to Diagnostics As a key member of the Pharmacy Team, the Lead Technician, Medicines Management will be responsible for the developing, monitoring and leading on all aspects of the technician-led, clinical oncology pharmacy services to ensure high quality, innovative and up-to-date pharmacy services which consistently meet the needs of all clients within the hospital. This is a patient facing leadership role with a large focus on service development and ensuring that Medicines Management Technicians (MMT) provide the highest standards of patient-focused care. Role Responsibilities: Medicines Management Ensuring accurate drug histories, medicines reconciliation, evidence based medication advice and timely discharge of patients in order to meet the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) agreed by the Head of Pharmacy. Accountable and responsible for ensuring an effective and safe technician-based medicines optimisation/management service by planning daily, weekly & monthly activities, with particular attention to work flow, patient waiting times and priority of workload. To participate in providing a comprehensive Medicines Information service under the direction of a pharmacist.
