Job Title: Warehouse Operative/Supervisor

Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative/Supervisor to join our team. This role involves processing deliveries, managing goods in and out, ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse functions, and performing inventory management. The position requires a proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. The role is physically demanding and requires familiarity with manual handling practices.
Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities, maintaining a clean and efficient work environment, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Strong interpersonal skills are essential as you will be an integral part of our team, ensuring the smooth flow of operations for both UK and international customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Stock Orders (Goods Out):
1. Pack, label, and ship sales orders for both UK and overseas customers.
2. Ensure that all items are correctly packaged, weighed (if necessary), and labelled.
3. Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to the schedule and target.
4. Ensure all orders meet company quality and safety standards.
5. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the storage areas.
Stock Goods In:
1. Assist in unloading, checking, and stocking shipments.
2. Check and receipt in all incoming goods.
3. Ensure correct labelling of items as required.
4. Perform inventory controls and maintain high quality standards for audits.
Warehouse Maintenance:
1. Ensure the warehouse areas remain clean, tidy, and organized.
2. Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
3. Undertake basic facilities duties such as repairs, weeding, and logging maintenance requests.
4. Assist with setting up and completing health and safety tasks, such as overseeing fire drill procedures and manual handling compliance.
Safety & Compliance:
1. Adhere to all safety procedures and policies while carrying out daily duties.
2. Demonstrate knowledge of safe work practices and ensure all team members comply with these policies.
3. Ensure adherence to quality service standards and company procedures, rules, and regulations.
Skills & Qualifications:
1. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
2. Proactive approach to tasks with a willingness to contribute to the success of the team.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to interact professionally and courteously.
4. Experience with manual handling practices is required.
5. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving packages.
6. Previous warehouse experience is a plus.
7. Health and safety knowledge is essential.
