Machine Operatives required for an immediate start on the night shift.
We are looking for candidates with experience in operating CNC machinery, welding, and operating combilifts, specifically with steel. Experience with measuring equipment and technical drawings can also be very beneficial. We are not looking for candidates with solely forklift or warehouse experience, or with solely welding experience.
Permanent role. Salary depending on experience and shift selected. Own transport essential due to location. All training is conducted on the day shift. Great company benefits and discretionary bonus. Optional overtime paid at time and half.

1. Valiant drill
2. Endeavour drill
3. Voortman plasma machine
4. Bystronic laser
5. KBS 400 and KBS 1001
6. Fortes
7. Pegas saw
8. Pehaka saw
9. Shotblaster and painter
Mid shift: (37 hours per week): Monday to Thursday (14:00 - 22:00), Friday (14:00 - 19:00).
Duties include:
1. Operating a selection of manual and CNC based machinery for metal processing.
2. Processing steel to customers' requirements and tolerances. Working within the company's quality system to ensure the full traceability of customer orders.
3. Understanding how to read drawings, orders, and following verbal instructions, being available to train others in this area.
4. Operate forklifts, Combilifts, and the crane safely and in a controlled manner.
5. Ensuring daily checks are performed on your equipment, crane, and forklift/Combilift, these are to be carried out before you start your shift.
6. Collating aforementioned orders, including banding, palletising, bagging, and preparing them for loading.
7. Loading and offloading of plate and parts from the plasma and laser machines.
8. Identifying and locating different steel products using appropriate measuring equipment.
9. Keeping machines and work areas clean and tidy.
10. Reporting any accidents and incidents to the HS&E Manager.
11. Reporting any machine faults/breakdowns to the Production Supervisor or Maintenance Manager.
12. Attending all training courses when required.
13. Following all safe systems of work at all times. Identifying and reporting any shortcomings that become apparent whilst undertaking tasks or if the tasks change or new activities are undertaken. Liaising with the HS&E department to ensure such risks are assessed and procedures amended as necessary.
14. Actively engaging in the identification of risks within the workplace and the subsequent assessment development of suitable safe systems of work. When necessary, intervening to prevent breaches of health and safety and/or report as necessary.
15. Following the requirements of the Company Quality Management Systems, policies, and procedures to help achieve a quality product for the customer and reduce non-conformance.
16. Following the requirements of the Company Environmental Management System to assist the Company's objective to reduce the detrimental effect on the environment by way of waste management and any other areas to improve the environmental impact.
Please note - This salary range includes the shift premium where applicable. Basic rate is paid whilst training on day shift.
