Job Description:
CNI Support Engineer (SC) - 6 months - Hybrid (Wokingham) - Inside IR35
Hamilton Barnes is looking for a Security Cleared CNI Support Engineer to join an organisation leading their sector. You will be responsible for providing Level 2/3 support, managing ticket requests and incidents, and ensuring smooth user operations within a secure and dynamic environment.
The role is open on a 6-month contract with a strong view for extension, working hybrid with three days per week on-site in Wokingham.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage day-to-day SNOW requests and incidents.
2. Provide Level-2 infrastructure support, including user creation, modification, and deletion (Active Directory & Entra/Azure AD).
3. Handle password reset requests and troubleshoot laptop, desktop, and user access issues.
4. Support laptops and desktops, including PAW setups (Intune & Active Directory).
5. Understand and apply networking protocols such as TCP, NFS, NTP, SMTP, DNS, DHCP, FTP, and TELNET.
6. Manage tickets efficiently and ensure timely resolution.
Key Skills and Experience:
1. Strong background in Level 2/3 infrastructure support.
2. Proficiency in Active Directory, Entra (Azure AD), and Intune.
3. Experience with laptop and desktop troubleshooting, builds, and reconfigurations.
4. Familiarity with security tools, patching, and workflow management tools.
5. Solid understanding of Windows Servers and networking protocols.
6. Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
7. Active Security Clearance (SC) is a must have.
Contract Details:
1. Duration: 6 months (with a view for extension)
2. Location: Hybrid (3x per week on-site in Wokingham)
3. Day Rate: Up to £325 per day (Inside IR35)
4. Start Date: ASAP
