We are looking for a passionate and resilient teacher to join our Onsite Alternative Provision (OAP) team at Salisbury, working with students who have disengaged from traditional education. The role offers a flexible, relationship-based approach for students with complex SEMH needs, ADHD, and ASD.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver personalised, creative learning to re-engage students and build essential skills.
2. Support students through the bespoke FA Education route for those struggling with formal learning.
3. Be committed to offering alternative learning opportunities that engage our young people - current offers and interests include sport, coping skills, life skills, outdoor education plus maths and English.
4. Promote emotional regulation, resilience, and positive relationships in a structured but nurturing environment.
5. Work collaboratively with the manager, TAs, families, and external professionals to develop individualised learning strategies.
Who We’re Looking For:
1. Experience working with disengaged young people in SEMH, alternative provision, or special education. Teaching qualification preferred but not essential.
2. A firm but flexible approach, with strong relationship-building skills.
3. Creativity and adaptability in designing engaging, student-led learning experiences.
4. A collaborative mindset, working effectively within a specialist and supportive team.
