Able to work as part of a team under own initiative. Assist with ordering and stock rotation. Undertakes daily testing and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure they are fit for purpose. Responsible for keeping accurate and legible records using computerised / written systems. Participates in audits and surveys as necessary to own work. General The post holder is required to maintain frequent and high levels of concentration throughout the day associated with a wide variety of nursing tasks: Chairside assisting orthodontic clinicians, surgical assisting, maintaining clinical need, answering patients queries, post-operative advice and dealing with telephone enquiries. The post holder will frequently be exposed to highly charged emotional situations, when dealing with patients with high anxieties associated with dental phobia, skin cancer diagnosis, fears of scars etc. Working conditions can be unpleasant due to the nature of treatment and involvement of bodily fluids, secretions, mouth odours etc.
