Position: Graduate Remediation Engineer / Remediation Engineer

Role & Requirements:
Due to a robust workload, a need has been identified for a Graduate Remediation Engineer / Remediation Engineer in a permanent capacity. The role focuses on ensuring the technical delivery of remediation and enabling projects.
Candidates for the Graduate Remediation Engineer role should have a related degree (e.g., environmental science, geology, geography, or civil engineering) and an interest in delivering on-site remedial solutions.
Candidates for the Remediation Engineer role should ideally have 2-5 years of experience in remediation contracting or a related discipline, such as site investigation, environmental monitoring, spill response, or environmental consultancy. Experience in soil and groundwater sampling, remediation methods, and earthworks is advantageous, with training provided as needed.
A valid driving license is essential due to the travel and potential for stay-aways required by this role. Key personal attributes include strong communication skills, teamwork, organization, resolve, a positive can-do attitude, attention to detail, flexibility, and ambition.
Role Location:
This role will require time on-site and in the office. Candidates should either live within or be willing to relocate to within commuting distance of one of the main offices in Bristol (Avonmouth) or Essex (Rayleigh). High-quality candidates from other regions may also be considered. Project sites are mainly based in South England, with some across the UK.

Main Duties:
Training will be provided as needed, with responsibilities including:
Assisting with the production of remediation strategies, management plans, method statements, and risk assessments.
Coordinating with subcontractors and managing technical and environmental subcontracts.
Obtaining licenses, permits, and regulatory approvals, compiling supporting information.
Site supervision activities, including overseeing excavations, drilling, and environmental emissions monitoring.
Setting up, operating, and maintaining soil and water treatment systems.
Carrying out contamination sampling, scheduling lab analysis, and assessing compliance.
Overseeing material movements and tracking project progress.
Using GPS and other equipment (e.g., PID, noise meter, CBR probe) for data recording.
Compiling reports, maintaining site records, and liaising with clients and third-party engineers.Application:
