Food Servery and Hospitality Supervisor

St Edwards is seeking an experienced Food Servery & Hospitality Supervisor to join our busy Catering Department. If you have a strong background in catering and hospitality, this is your opportunity to play a key role in delivering exceptional service at a leading independent school.
As the Food Servery & Hospitality Supervisor, you will oversee front-of-house operations during service hours, providing seamless and efficient service. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring the serving of food is effectively managed.
* Maintaining discipline and fostering a positive atmosphere within the servery team.
* Liaising with management to ensure optimal rota scheduling and staffing levels.
* Ensuring strict adherence to hygiene standards, health and safety regulations, and food safety protocols.
* Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness across all areas of the Catering Department.
* Hosting, managing, and assisting with internal and external events, providing excellent service during hospitality functions.
Our Catering Department serves approximately 2,000 meals daily and handles a wide variety of events, including charity balls, formal dinners, weddings, and catering for sports and summer schools.
About you
You will need to have a Basic Food Hygiene certification (or equivalent) and Health and Safety certification (or equivalent) as a minimum. We are looking for someone with proven experience in working in a large-scale catering environment, along with strong people management skills. You should be able to motivate, train, and develop your team while maintaining high service standards in a fast-paced setting.
