Job Title: Management Consultant - (Local Authorities, Government Departments & Universities)
Location: Hybrid (Bath) 2-3 days a week in the office with occasional travel.
Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on experience

Role Overview: We are seeking a Management Consultant to join our team and support our growing portfolio in the public sector and university sectors. This role will focus on engaging with senior stakeholders to develop robust business cases for sustainability and adaptation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, and business case development within the public sector or academic institutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Engage with senior stakeholders in public sector organisations and universities to understand their needs and objectives.
* Lead the development of detailed and compelling business cases that align with stakeholders’ goals.
* Conduct strategic analysis, gather data, and evaluate options to support decision-making.
* Facilitate workshops and meetings with diverse stakeholder groups to identify challenges, opportunities, and pathways for solutions.
* Collaborate with internal teams to leverage expertise and ensure alignment with organisational goals.
* Monitor and report on project progress, providing insights and recommendations to enhance value delivery.
* Develop and deliver business cases aligned with the UK Government’s Five Case Model and the HM Treasury Green Book guidance, to ensure robust decision-making and value for money for public sector clients.
* Prepare and write compelling funding proposals to secure financial support for projects.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Proven experience in management consulting, with a focus on the public sector or university sector.
* Strong understanding of ESG principles.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
* Experience in developing business cases, including analysis and strategic planning.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
