The Company : Long established with a forty plus year trading history. They are a multidisciplinary consultancy with a network of offices in the UK and mainland Europe.The company employs over one hundred technical staff and invests heavily in staff training and welfare. Your Role : Reporting to the director of civil & structural engineering your role will involve assisting with scheme design, the management and production of detailed structural designs and the supervision of junior engineers. There will be regular client contact and occasional site visits. You will be expected to take on more responsibility as the division grows, leading to your promotion. Experience Required : A structural engineer with a minimum of five years industry experience. The willingness to learn and progress is vital. You will join a civil & structural team that will rapidly expand, this will require you to move up to a more senior position within the medium term and take on more responsibility. Your technical background should encompass the design of steel and reinforced concrete superstructures, in addition it should show evidence of responsibility for project delivery. Qualifications Required: A 2:1 degree in civil or structural engineering. Chartered, or Graduate membership of the ICE or IStructE with plans in place to become chartered. Training : Mentorship and support to achieve chartered status will be provided if required. There will be regular CPD activities, and the company frequently funds additional vocational courses and training.
