Through continued company expansion, a number of positions have arisen at a leading UK manufacturer in the pet food industry, specialising in creating suet-based products for feeding wild birds. The company has over 25 years’ experience as a leading innovator within the industry with its design, development and core manufacturing business based at its extensive site in Kent. Reporting to the Production Manager/Team Leader we are looking for motivated individuals to join our growing team based in Sittingbourne. The successful individuals must be able to work in a busy and fast paced team, where juggling multiple priorities is a must. The ideal candidate must be, or have the following:
* Hardworking, self-starter who is motivated
* Enjoys working in a busy environment to meet deadlines
* Ability to self-manage whilst also working closely within a team
* High levels of attention to detail, process-driven
* Previous experience is desirable, but not essential as full training will be given (One/three months to achieve suitable skill levels)
This is a varied role including but not limited to:
* Knowledge of ERP computer system – training provided
* Regular lifting of materials (all sub 20kgs).Walking and collecting pallets of raw materials from stores
* Must be able to read and understand a bill of materials (BOM) and follow SOP’s and be able to read a specification sheet.
* Maintain and follow ALL Health & Safety rules and regulations; safety is our No: 1 priority
* Personally, comply with all policies, procedures, and risk assessments relevant to role and responsibilities
* Hold a valid FLT/PPT license, and/or be prepared to train to obtain one (essential for this role)

This role will require the operator to move around the site, and work in the different manufacturing units. Each unit manufacturers different products and will require the runner to utilise different skills to meet target. The training is designed to incorporate all areas hence the one month to three-month training cycle.
