About the role: We are looking for a compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs to join our dedicated team. In this full-time role, you will work closely with children across Key Stages 1 and 2, providing tailored support to help them overcome challenges and achieve their individual learning goals.
Application Requirements:
1. Relevant experience working with children with SEMH needs.
2. A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is preferred but not essential.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with students, parents, and staff.
4. A proactive and positive approach to supporting children’s learning and development.
5. Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children with special educational needs.
6. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of students.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEMH needs, helping them engage in learning activities.
2. Implement tailored strategies and interventions to promote emotional regulation and social skills development.
3. Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create personalised learning plans for students.
4. Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
5. Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected.
6. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
